About the course The course is run by John, who has over 15 years experience in the catering industry, including 6 years spent working as a chef in Switzerland and 9 ski seasons catering in chalets. As a Director of The Winter Adventure Company he has a thorough understanding of what will be expected of you during a season and can provide plenty of useful tips to manage your time effectively and maximise your time on the slopes. The aim of the course is to give you the confidence and skills to provide a well - presented breakfast, 6 x 3-course meals and home-baked cakes and biscuits to a very high standard, using proper, safe working techniques. The course takes place in the large kitchen of our own guesthouse , providing a realistic working environment. All equipment and ingredients are provided and you will of course get the chance to cook for each other and other guests from the village! There are a maximum of 2 students on a course at any one time, to provide ample individual training time where required and to ensure you have your own room and facilities during your stay.
